Three reasons your windshield and auto glass is important
We know it's just a windshield. But there may be more to Auto Glass than you know.
First, auto glass is a major safety component of your vehicle. It prevents the roof from collapsing in the event of a roll over. Sufficient damage to the windshield (meaning a crack longer than a dollar bill or four or more rock chips), means the structural integrity of the windshield is gone.
Additionally, rock chips in the driver's site impair visibility. They may seem small, but studies have shown that even small distractions in the line of site can create safety issues.
Finally, a damaged windshield is against the law. Because of the safety issues above, most States require that cracked windshields be replaced. Read more about why you should repair or replace auto glass.
